Community groups
The KSG thrives on the people who get involved. Here we introduce you to some of our active groups. Whether you have experience or not, come by and join in!
Music
Music creates atmosphere and brings people together. That’s exactly what we experience at KSG. Whether solemn, funky, or completely free: we experiment, contribute our own ideas, and make every moment special.
We provide the music for the masses and sometimes play at special events.
You are welcome to join us spontaneously at 4:30 p.m. before each church service, or come to our open rehearsals! Otherwise, feel free to talk to us or write to Daniel and Josua!
Lectors
Would you like to play an active role in Sunday Mass? As a lector, you will read the Scriptures and bring the Word of God to life in the congregation. If you enjoy reading, this is the perfect opportunity for you.
Whether in German, English, or your native language, we are always looking for people to support us on Sundays.
If you have any questions, please contact Nicole!
Ministers & sacristans
If you would like to actively participate in the service and incense is your favorite scent, then become part of our family of ministers! We serve before and after Mass, support the smooth running of the liturgy, and bring energy to the service.
Come by — whether you have years of experience or just want to try out altar service. We look forward to seeing you!
Feel free to talk to us or send us an email!
Queer Working Groupi
The Queer Working Group aims to provide queer individuals with a safe space within the church where they can practice their faith and feel welcome in their uniqueness. All queer individuals and allies are welcome to share their questions, ideas, and requests. We are always happy to see new faces in the working group. We usually meet at the beginning of the semester and organize a service with blessings for everyone once per semester, as well as several community evenings.
The contact person is Nicole. Please feel free to write to her with any questions or concerns!
Theology Sofa
Spirituality is more than just Sunday worship. We organize additional offerings that aim to strengthen our faith and encourage us to engage with the content of our faith.
The Theology Sofa is a relaxed discussion group on theological questions, by students for students. There is no strict format, but there are snacks and cool topics!
We meet on Sundays at 5:00 p.m. before Mass.
You can find an overview of upcoming events in our calender. Just drop by!
Book Club
You love books and exciting conversations? Then the KSG Book Club is the right place for you! We meet regularly in a cozy setting to immerse ourselves in the world of literature.
We’re not interested in dry analysis, but rather in how the texts we read affect us personally. We choose our books and meeting dates together.
Write to Norbert if you’d like to join the group. Otherwise, feel free to check here to see if a new book has been announced!
Get involved
You don’t have to be active in a group right away – there are many small ways you can get involved!
